Millions of Bangladeshi children today are denied a high-quality education by an inequitable system that continues to perpetuate the status quo. At Teach For Bangladesh, we believe that systemic inequity of such scale, complexity, and tenacity has no single solution. Making equitable and excellent education a reality for all children will require interventions from diverse sectors of Bangladeshi society over a prolonged period of time.<\/p>\n

Our Fellowship model seeks to develop a generation of leadership inside and outside of the school ecosystem committed to creating change and translating innovation and evidence into practice and policy. Md. Rasel Sarder<\/h3>\r\n

Cohort 2019<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

Md. Rasel Sarder, a 2019 Teach For Bangladesh alumnus and one of the pioneering Fellows in Chattogram, has become the first TFB alum to join as a Primary Teachers\u2019 Training Institute (PTI) Instructor – a crucial Government role under the Ministry of Mass Education.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, he served as Program Coordinator at JAAGO Foundation\u2019s Access-Lite Program in Cox\u2019s Bazar and held multiple roles in the organization. R<\/span><\/p>\n

Rasel holds a Master\u2019s in Education from the University of Dhaka\u2019s IER. Inspired by his TFB Fellowship and driven to scale impact through government service, Rasel now trains 180 primary teachers in Gopalganj. He integrates TFB’s \u201c6 Classroom Basics\u201d in his modules, earning strong praise and commitment from trainees.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n

Md. Faqrul Islam Fahad<\/h3>\r\n

Cohort 2017<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

Md. Faqrul Islam Fahad, a 2017 Teach For Bangladesh Alumni, taught in Nababganj GPS. Fahad graduated from University of Dhaka, majoring in Geology, later, he perused Masters In Development Studies from DU as well. He also had an MEd from BRAC University.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fahad emerged into becoming an education development expert with around 7 years of experience in Curriculum, Capacity Development, digital transformation, and program management.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the Fellowship, he joined Save the Children in Bangladesh as a Senior Officer \u2013 Innovation Project Coordination. Now Fahad is working with BRAC as a Manager, Capacity Development & Planning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the long run Fahad is passionate about building local capacity for more efficient and inclusive education programming from the office to the classroom.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n

Sadia Jafrin Khan<\/h3>\r\n

Sadia Jafrin Khan is a passionate social entrepreneur and education reform advocate, committed to ensuring that every child in Bangladesh has access to high-quality learning opportunities. As the Founder and CEO of Grow Your Reader Foundation, she leads a nationwide movement to improve education through creative curricula, teacher training, and innovative community mobilization projects including school-based, mobile, street, and online libraries that now serve over 20,000 readers across the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sadia began her journey as a 2016 Teach For Bangladesh Fellow and was placed in Gawair Nabin GPS. Her commitment to social impact led her to earn a and to be selected as a Bangladesh Acumen Fellow (2022). She is also recognized as a Top 100 Leaders in Education Awardee and serves as a Young Leader at the Queen\u2019s Commonwealth Trust. She has taken on a mentorship role as an Award Coordinator for The Duke of Edinburgh\u2019s Award Program, continuing her mission to empower youth through education and leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n

A graduate of Jahangirnagar University with a BSc in Pharmacy, and a <\/span>Post-Graduate Diploma in Education from BRAC University <\/span>\u00a0Sadia\u2019s work is grounded in the belief that education is the key to transformation. Her journey is a testament to the power of purpose, innovation, and community in building a brighter, more equitable future for all.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n

Md. Tanvir Rahman Bhuiyan<\/h3>\r\n

Tanvir, a 2018 Teach For Bangladesh Alumni, taught in Deep Shikha Bidyaloy in Dhaka. Tanvir studied Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), Accounting & Information Systems from Jahangirnagar University. He also had a Master of Education – MEd in Educational Leadership and School Improvement from BRAC Institute of Education and Research (BRAC-IED), BRAC University.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sarder Tawhid<\/h3>\r\n

Sarder Tawhid graduated from BRAC University and got accepted into the Fellowship program in 2013. As a Fellow Tawhid served in Haji Yusuf Ali Govt. Primary School situated in Mirpur education thana . Tawhid have been working in the education and development sector of Bangladesh for over 10 years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After Fellowship he worked as a teacher trainer for teachers in various government primary schools all across Dhaka city. He also managed recurring residential training projects along with many short-term community-based projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He has also worked with the Rohingya community ensuring community-based protection by ensuring community participation is community development projects. He worked with the education program in Norwegian Refugee Council managing a UNHCR funded project, its overall, staff, resource and goals management. Currently he is working\u00a0 as an Innovation Specialist at IRC.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
