Imran Rahman is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). Prior to joining ULAB, Imran taught finance at the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka for twenty-two years. In 1994, he co-founded and led a merchant bank for six years. He served as an independent director in two public limited finance companies.<\/p>\r\n
He works closely with the US Embassy Dhaka in managing the EMK Center for Public Affairs and the Arts, which is a US-funded ULAB project. He is a director of the Foundation for Learning, Teaching and Research (fLTR), which aims to improve the capacity and quality of teaching and research in universities.<\/p>\r\n
Imran studied at the Manchester Business School, University of Dhaka and the London School of Economics. He is a singer and guitarist with Renaissance, one of the oldest musical bands of Bangladesh.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
